Dr. Perrott attended the University of West Indies, where she earned a BSc. degree with Honors in Zoology and Chemistry. This was followed by postgraduate courses in Biochemistry at Andrews University. She then started medical school in 1986 at Loma Linda University in California. She graduated from medical school in 1990 and remained at Loma Linda University Medical Center for a further four years specializing in OB/GYN.
